Being Spoilt with My Friends

Taking a couple hours out of the busy holiday season to be a little spoiled, enjoy friends, and re-focus on what is important about Christmas is a present wrapped in friends, music, inspiration and sweets!

My Favorite Christmas Tradition

From the moment you walk through the door, to your last cookie crumb, the Glory Be Tea will be a gentle reminder of why we gather together in faith. It is my favorite Christmas tradition. The decorations on each table, the exquisite and delicious cookie displays, the music, the Reading, the 5 star lunch, the camaraderie of women, and be served by men, this luncheon is the perfect gift to give yourself this holiday

A Respite for Weary Souls

I was invited to my first Glory Be Tea by my RCIA sponsor. I had no idea what to expect but I was quickly enchanted by the amazing assortment of tea cookies, the beautiful décor and the warm welcome I received by the ladies at my table and the others attending. Did I mention the delicious cuisine? Just when I think the featured meal can’t possibly be better than the previous year, it is! The music, readings and guest speaker are the cherry on top.

I have attended the Glory Be Tea nearly every year since then and I love to bring ladies who haven’t been to it before as I know they will be equally enchanted. It is a respite for weary souls during the holidays, a time to get away and care for myself and those dear to me. The Glory Be Tea is one of the highlights of my holiday season.

Wish I had attended in past years.

“I have no idea why I’ve never come to the Tea before, I had always planned to.  It was very impressive! Wish I had attended in past years!”

Event went very smoothly. Well Done!

I only started coming to the tea three years ago.  Now I would not want to ever miss.  My friends are anxious to come again next year as well.  The centerpieces were impressive.  Door prizes, etc. are a great motivator to come and they stay for that length of time.  We thought the event went very smoothly.  Well Done!

Great comments about the food, the decorations, cookies and the speaker

Awesome feedback I am getting this week from the Tea last weekend; myself included all enjoyed it so very much.  I heard great comments about the food, the decorations, cookies and the speaker…All the way around very positive feedback. Several ladies said they wished the speaker would have spoken longer; one said “I felt like she was one of us, except she has a better relationship with Jesus

A Cup of Christmas Tea

Thank you again for yesterday, I couldn’t express why it meant so much properly. In 1992 we had lost Jean and Daddy that October.
Ray and I hosted our loved ones that Christmas and I gave each of them a copy of Tom Heggs “A Cup of Christmas Tea”. I could hardly
believe it was part of the program. Than you again so much.

Best Year Ever

I am so blessed every year to attend the Glory Be Tea, but I felt this year to be the best year ever. I enjoyed every minute of the gathering.

Thanks From Our Pastor

Just a note to thank you for a wonderful Glory Be Tea! I’m sorry I missed it. So many women commented at Mass last night, as well as
this morning, how beautiful it was. I heard Sara was marvelous!
Thanks so much.”

Spirit of St James is Alive and Well

Dear Glory Be Tea Committee, I want to thank you for all the hard work in organizing the Tea. It was a “magical” afternoon. The spirit
of St. James is alive and well. I thought it was lost with the move to new church, but it still is present in the people of the parish!
